About Chris
Chris Kooymans is an Atlanta native and a REALTOR® with the Janice Overbeck Team, serving Acworth, Kennesaw, Woodstock, and Marietta.
Before real estate, Chris spent years in transportation and logistics, supervising a team of drivers. The job taught him that most people don't need someone barking instructions—they need someone who will give them direction and walk the process with them. That mindset is where the coach in him comes from, and it's exactly what drew him to real estate: a chance to guide people through one of the biggest, most personal decisions of their lives, not just close a transaction.
Having grown up in Metro Atlanta, Chris brings more than market knowledge to his clients—he brings a lifelong, hometown understanding of the neighborhoods, schools, and communities they're choosing between. He leads with education over pressure, making sure every client understands each step, option, and number before they decide, so they can move forward with confidence rather than second-guessing.
Whether it's a first home or a next chapter, Chris treats the relationship like a partnership, not a sales pitch—and he's excited to bring that same hands-on, people-first approach to the Janice Overbeck Team.
Away from work, Chris is dad to two boys, ages 16 and 12. Between marching band competitions, Scout outings, hiking trails, and family game nights, he's usually somewhere close to home—which is exactly where he wants to help his clients land,
